This first collection of poetry from Gary Carr brings together some of his published work from the last ten years with a range of favourites from poetry events and newly written work. It's range is from the deeply personal (Alzheimer's, Chick, Unbuttoning) through the observational (Part Librarian, Balls, Turbines) to neurodivergence (Lifeweaving, The Cutback Kid Gets Old, Human) retold in a range of styles to suit their subjects. In his short preface Gary says "This book is a series of snippets of the lives of people I almost know; where nothing is completely real, but everything holds a truth"
